After marriage in 1940 she and Stan lived with his mother in Southall, Middlesex, She stayed for a while in a cowman's cottage on Bloweys* Farm, Ayot St Lawrence, Hertfordshire while Stan was stationed there during the Second World War (1939-1945) - she worked for a while in the village post office at Codicote.

This appears to have been the name of the farmer; and so "Blowey's Farm". Likely to have been Hill Farm at Ayot St Lawrence
